Safeguarding
At FO Football Academy, the safety, wellbeing and protection of every young person is our highest priority.
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where all participants are treated with dignity, respect and care. We believe every child has the right to enjoy football and personal development activities in a positive environment free from harm, discrimination, bullying or abuse.
Our safeguarding approach is built upon creating a culture where young people feel safe, valued and empowered to express themselves both on and off the pitch.
FO Football Academy is committed to:
• Promoting the welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people.
• Providing a safe, positive and inclusive environment for participation.
• Ensuring all coaching and programme delivery is conducted responsibly and professionally.
• Encouraging respect, equality and positive behaviour at all times.
• Responding appropriately to any safeguarding concerns or disclosures.
• Working in partnership with parents, carers, schools, local authorities and relevant agencies to protect young people.
Our coaches and staff are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and professional conduct and will undertake appropriate safeguarding training and DBS checks where required.
We recognise our responsibility to safeguard all participants and are committed to creating an environment where young people can develop confidence, build positive relationships and reach their full potential safely.
